My name is Jabel Erica Odiamar-Bercasio. I was born in Naga City, Philippines but I spent seven years living in Dominica, an island in the Caribbean, with my family. My parents still live there. My dad is an obstetrician-gynecologist and my mom manages his clinic.
I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Digital Illustration and Animation from Ateneo de Naga University. I have 18 units of Masters of Mathematics, and I am currently writing my thesis proposal for Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at De la Salle University. I hope to graduate this coming 2013.
I am 31 years old, married for six years and a mom to an active toddler, Joreb William. It is because of motherhood that I gave up office-based jobs and law school. I do love every single day with my son. Now though, I have been back to work as a multimedia arts instructor at Far Eastern University-East Asia College for a term. I also work as a blogger.
Why do I constantly fail at writing like a cat? Well, I tend to want to reveal everything. I am on the process of learning balance. To say more when writing news. To be more mysterious with my literary craft, especially when trying to write non-fiction. I am quiet in person, but have the tendency to reveal too much information during the process of writing. So yeah, still searching for that balance.
